March 30th Thursday

March 28th was my son’s birthday, but we could not have a party for him because my son had to go to the cram school and I had a lesson.
3月28日は息子の誕生日でしたが、息子は塾、私はレッスンがあったので、パーティーはできませんでした。

Instead of the party, we went to Mihama to ride a cart, pick up strawberries and buy some shrimp rice crackers which was just planned…
パーティーの代わりに美浜に行って、カートに乗り、いちご狩りをし、えびせんべいを買う予定でした。

However, the circuit was closed and the strawberry picking was not held on Thursdays… oh, no…
しかし、サーキットはお休みで木曜日はいちご狩りやってなかったのです。

So, we changed plans and went to buy some strawberries first. They are so big and smell sweet! We also went to the “Michi-no-Eki” near the strawberry farm and there we bought some tuna sashimi and jako.
なので、予定を変更し、まずいちごを買いに行きました。いちごはとても大きく甘い香りがしました。いちご農家近くの道の駅にも行き、まぐろの刺身とじゃこを買いました。

After that, we went to Ebisen Park to make rice crackers. There are three rice crackers to make, shrimp, octopus and one more…which I forgot. My son chose to make shrimp rice cracker. He wanted to make another one, and this time he chose to make octopus one. He succeeded to make rice crackers and actually they were crispy and tasty!
その後、えびせんべいを作りにえびせんパークに行きました。作れるえびせんはえび、たこと忘れましたがあともう1つ、3種類ありました。息子はえびせんを選びました。もう1つ作りたがり、たこせんべいも作りました。上手に作ることができ、パリパリでおいしかったです。

We also went to eat some seafood at a restaurant called Uotaro. I was not so hungry because of the rice cracker, so only my son ate some Shirasu rice ball. He enjoyed that and it took only about several minutes to finish eating!
魚太郎というレストランに海鮮を食べにも行きました。私はえびせんを食べたのであまりお腹がすいてなかったので、息子のみしらす丼をたべました。数分で食べ終わりました！

In spite of the fact he could not ride a cart, he said he had a good time, which I was relieved… I hope he thinks he had a good birthday.
カートに乗れなかったのですが、楽しかったと言ってくれたので、ほっとしました。良い誕生日だったと思ってくれてたら嬉しいな。
